5 Apps That Will Make Your Life Easier

There’s an app for everything—we know that by now. There are hundreds of thousands of apps out there, and many of them are aimed at increasing productivity and helping you take care of everyday tasks. Research shows that Americans check their phones dozens of times per day, so why not make your mobile device a little more helpful? Here are five free apps that will make your life easier, from finding a parking space sooner to helping you relax:

  1. Headspace
Let’s start by setting a few minutes aside for mindfulness. Headspace is an app with more than 10 million users that offers a free program introducing you to meditation. The basic program is 10 minutes of meditation per day for 10 days, and a subscription unlocks a wider range of mindfulness exercises. Meditation is a great way to start or end your day to increase focus and reduce stress.
  2. Parking Panda
If only we had a dollar for every minute we had to search for a parking spot! Parking Panda is available in more than 40 cities and aims to cut down the time you spend looking for a parking space in busy areas. You can use the app to search lots and garages for where you’re headed and see the cost of parking ahead of time, then pay for it in advance to secure your spot.
  3. Keelo
Meditation will help with your mental health, but don’t forget your physical health. Keelo is the perfect app for adding a workout to your daily routine. It does this by focusing on high-intensity interval training for strength, cardio, and conditioning. The workouts last from seven to 20 minutes and can be done at home or the gym. It creates a custom workout plan based on your goals and will tell you exactly what to do each time.
  4. Evernote
If you haven’t heard of Evernote yet, you’re way behind! Evernote is a notepad app that you can access from nearly any device. It’s great for taking both personal and business notes. You can easily file away and separate subjects, and you can even share notes with friends or coworkers.
  5. Square Cash
Your coworker is grabbing lunch, and you want something, too. But how often do you not have cash? Square Cash is the solution! It’s the latest in person-to-person payment apps. You simply add your debit card to it and you can instantly send money to any friend or coworker who also has the app.
