KRESS Employment Screening Offering New Commercial Drivers' Packages
Background check provider offers Commercial Drivers' Packages
HOUSTON, Texas—December 23, 2008—KRESS Employment
Screening, a licensed investigations company (TX-A06712) that provides
employers with background checks, has announced the arrival of a
new suite of Commercial
Drivers' Packages. KRESS Employment Screening clients will have
the opportunity to choose between three packages:
- Entry Level 2 package, will include a CDLIS search. CDLIS allows employers to comply with FMCSA requirements by searching within the "Commercial Driver's License Information System" for any prior licenses, current CDL and up to three prior licenses held by said individual.
- Entry Level 3 package, will include a CDLIS search with the addition of a DOT Employment Verification, which incorporates all of DOT required questions for each employer including accident history and drug and alcohol information.
- Full Criminal with NCSI package, will include both of the above
packages with the addition of three more services. CBSV
or Consent Based Social Security Number Verification is a service
provided by the Social Security Administration (SSA) that will
allow employers to verify that the name, social security number
and date of birth match SSA records. This search can be run prior
to employment.
SS Trace acts as an identifier and reveals any alias names, as well as past and present addresses associated with the Social Security number. An MVR or Motor Vehicle Report retrieves standard motor vehicle records going back at least three years to identify prior violations, accidents, criminal charges, suspensions, convictions and license revocations. Kress also checks for any restrictions on use and the status of the current license.
