KRESS Gets Positive Reviews from Client Survey
More than 250 clients participate in online satisfaction survey.

KRESS has completed a Client Satisfaction Survey with more than 250 clients responding to an online survey. The survey was conducted from April 27 to May 12 and was solicited via an email campaign to clients with a moderate to high usage of KRESS background check services.

Among the results are these positive numbers:

  • 84% of respondents indicated that KRESS has a well-above average understanding of their needs.

  • 78% of respondents rated the “Service Purchase Experience” well-above average.

  • 89% of clients responding felt that the professionalism was, again, well-above average.

  • 81% of human resources professionals responding indicated that “On-Time Delivery of Service(s)” was well-above average when compared with other background check providers.

  • 84% of those responding rated KRESS well-above average with regard to the overall “Customer Service Experience.”
We'd also like to share a sample of the positive comments we received:
  • “Awesome Customer Service!! Reports accurate and on time .. KRESS goes above and beyond .. Thank you!!”
  • “Your services have proven to play a vital part in our hiring needs. In our environment we always anticipate a certain amount of turn around in our sales department. I feel confident that we are making better hiring decisions because of your services.”
  • “I like the new emails when you've received the background check request.”
  • “Your employees are always helpful. They are a great asset to your team, very professional.”
  • “Very helpful when I need answers - Thank You”
To all those who took the time to answer the survey, KRESS would like to thank you. We know your time is valuable and appreciate you taking a moment to help us understand how we can serve you better. The responses to the survey were so over-whelming that we just can’t explain how happy we are to hear we’re serving our customers well. More importantly, we’re taking comments and suggestions from customers like you and using them to improve our service offering.

If you didn’t get a chance to respond to the survey, you have two options. You can always call or email me personally with your comments and suggestions. I love talking to clients. The second option is to answer the up-coming survey in the fall.

Again, thank you to all those who took part in this process. We really do appreciate it.

Texas Requirements to Provide Background Checks

Many human resource professionals are unaware that in the State of Texas, Chapter 1702 of Occupations Code states that an investigations company is a company that, “..engages in the business of obtaining or furnishing, or accepts employment to obtain or furnish, information related to .. the identity, habits, business, occupation, knowledge, efficiency, loyalty, movement, location, affiliations, associations, transactions, acts, reputation, or character of a person..” This law states that these companies are to be licensed by the Texas Department of Public, Texas Private Security Bureau. Providing these services without a license is a Class A Misdemeanor in the State of Texas.

Unfortunately, not everyone or every company in the state providing background checks wants to take a simple test, pass an FBI fingerprint criminal check and carry Errors and Omissions Insurance. If you become aware that someone may be in violation of this law, contact The Private Security Bureau at (512) 424-7710.

Sincerely,

Thanks to KRESS, You Don't Have to Skip the Important Background Check Process

With the Ultimate Buy-Back Program, KRESS is allowing American businesses to do what they do best -- run their businesses effectively and efficiently. We don't argue that some budget tightening might be necessary now, but the trimming should come from non-essential services.

If you use KRESS to run a background check on any person and have to lay off that person within twelve months of the initial background check, we will credit your account the entire amount of the background check.

Small Businesses Encouraged to Implement Best Practices for Security Measures

Background checks are not the only important measure small businesses should maintain in these tough economic times. Small businesses should also be aware of and implement best practices in security measures to protect their important business assets.

“No matter what size an organization is, all businesses must frequently review their security practices and take proactive measures to ensure that their confidential information is protected,” said Jay Foley, executive director of the Identity Theft Resource Center. “Data breaches can be harmful to any business, especially companies that do not have the resources to recover. Proper management of confidential information is critical to ensuring best business practices.”

According to an Internet article published by Fellowes, Inc. and the Identity Theft Resource Center (ITRC), the following security measures should be implemented by small business to help further minimize their risk*:

  • Develop office guidelines for employees that outline procedures for protecting sensitive information.
  • Keep all sensitive information and files locked away, restricting access to only those who need it.
  • Ensure all company computers have the most up-to-date anti-virus, anti-spyware and firewall software. Check to make sure wireless networks are protected with the proper security settings.
  • Limit the use of social security numbers in the workplace, especially on items such as employee identification badges, time cards or paychecks.
  • Conduct background checks on all potential employees. It is not uncommon for confidential information to be stolen from within.
  • Avoid leaving documents in communal copiers, shared printing spaces, conference rooms or other open areas for extended periods of time.
  • At the end of each work day, all employees should log off their computers and lock their workstations or office doors. All confidential documents should be filed away rather than left at one’s desk.
